New AWS Direct Connect Location in Sydney

AWS announced the opening of a new AWS Direct Connect location at Equinix SY5 in Sydney, Australia. This is the fourth AWS Direct Connect location in Sydney and the tenth in Australia. It offers dedicated 10 Gbps and 100 Gbps connections with MACsec encryption available.

This new location provides private, direct network access to all public AWS Regions (except those in China), AWS GovCloud Regions, and AWS Local Zones.

What to do

• Establish private, direct network access to AWS services from the new SY5 location.
• Consider purchasing and deploying Direct Connect for a more consistent network experience.
