Amazon EC2 M8gn and M8gb Instances Now Available
AWS has announced the general availability of the new Amazon EC2 M8gn and M8gb instances, powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, delivering up to 30% better compute performance than Graviton3 processors.
M8gn Instances
- Network Bandwidth: Up to 600 Gbps
- Memory: Up to 768 GiB
- Instance Sizes: Up to 48xlarge
- Use Cases: High-performance file systems, distributed caches, real-time analytics, 5G UPF
- Networking: Support for EFA on 16xlarge, 24xlarge, and 48xlarge sizes
M8gb Instances
- EBS Bandwidth: Up to 150 Gbps
- Memory: Up to 768 GiB
- Instance Sizes: Up to 24xlarge
- Use Cases: High performance databases, NoSQL databases
- Networking: Support for EFA on 16xlarge and 24xlarge sizes
Regions Available
The new instances are available in:
- US East (N. Virginia)
- US West (Oregon)
