Claude Opus 5 is now available in AWS GovCloud (US)

AWS GovCloud (US) now offers Claude Opus 5, the most advanced Opus model yet, compatible with zero data retention (ZDR). This model enhances coding, long-running agents, and complex professional work for teams.
Features:
- Advances in coding and understanding codebases
- Powerful agents that run for hours, recover from errors, and reach objectives
- Deeper reasoning for long documents and higher accuracy for complex analysis
Availability:
- Via the
bedrock-runtimeendpoint in both AWS GovCloud (US) regions - Via the
bedrock-mantleendpoint in AWS GovCloud (US-West)
Zero Data Retention (ZDR):
- Enabled by default in Amazon Bedrock
- Meets data governance requirements
- Keeps data within AWS infrastructure with regional data residency
- Provides access through a unified service with AWS-managed features like Guardrails and Knowledge Bases
