AWS Sign-in now supports resource-based policies and resource control policies

AWS Sign-in Policy Updates
AWS Sign-in now supports resource-based policies and resource control policies (RCPs) for the AWS Management Console. These policies help restrict console sign-in to expected networks and are evaluated during sign-in and when the console session requests new credentials.
Key Points
- Resource-based policies: Apply to individual AWS accounts.
- Resource control policies: Apply organization-wide through AWS Organizations.
- Combined with AWS Management Console Private Access: Control both which networks users can sign in from and which accounts they can access.
- Availability: Available at no additional cost in all AWS commercial Regions.
What to do
- Review and update your resource-based policies and RCPs.
- Combine these policies with AWS Management Console Private Access for enhanced security.
- Refer to the AWS Sign-in User Guide and AWS Sign-in API Reference for more details.
