Amazon Bedrock AgentCore introduces new optimization capabilities to continuously improve agents in production

New Optimization Capabilities in AgentCore
AWS introduces new optimization capabilities in AgentCore to transform production traces into continuous improvement for agents. These features address silent failures that do not produce error signals but surface through customer complaints weeks later.
Key Features
- Failure Insights: Discover recurring failure patterns, explain root causes, and rank them by impact.
- Intent Insights: Cluster requests by user intent to identify common patterns.
- Trajectory Insights: Group agent paths through tasks to reveal common patterns and outliers.
- Recommendations: Analyze traces to suggest specific improvements grounded in production data.
- Batch Evaluation: Test recommendations against a defined test dataset and report aggregate scores.
- A/B Testing: Confirm improvements under real conditions by comparing agent versions.
Availability
- Failure, Intent, and Trajectory Insights: Available in preview in 13 AWS Regions.
- Batch Evaluations, Recommendations, and A/B Tests: Generally available in 14 AWS Regions.
What to do
- Enable continuous monitoring or run a targeted investigation in minutes.
- Define what "good" looks like and measure each candidate change against that bar.
- Run A/B tests to confirm improvements before rolling out fleet-wide.
