AWS Secrets Manager Updates

AWS Secrets Manager now supports managed external secrets for Datadog Keys and Snowflake Programmatic Access Tokens (PATs). This enables automatic rotation of third-party credentials directly from AWS Secrets Manager, offering first-class integration with supported third-party services.

New Features

  • Manage rotation for Datadog API keys, Application keys, and admin credential pairs for service accounts.
  • Rotate Snowflake Programmatic Access Tokens using Snowflake's native authentication with a configurable grace period.

What to do

  • Update your Datadog and Snowflake credentials to use AWS Secrets Manager for automatic rotation.
  • Configure a grace period for Snowflake PATs to ensure seamless transitions to new tokens.
