AWS launches Billing Transfer for multi-organization billing and cost management

AWS Billing Transfer Release

AWS introduces Billing Transfer, enabling centralized management and payment of bills across multiple AWS organizations. This feature allows a single management account to handle invoice collection, payment processing, and cost analysis for multiple organizations while maintaining security autonomy.

Billing Transfer integrates with AWS Billing Conductor, allowing administrators to control cost data visibility and implement advanced cost allocation strategies. There is no cost for using Billing Conductor with an AWS managed pricing plan, but a $50 fee per AWS Organization applies for a Customer managed pricing plan starting June 1, 2026. A free trial is available until May 31, 2026.
