AWS Service Catalog Availability

AWS Service Catalog is now available in two new regions: Asia Pacific (New Zealand) and Canada West (Calgary).

AWS Service Catalog allows customers to create, govern, and distribute a catalog of approved Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products for deployment on AWS. Administrators can define products using AWS CloudFormation or other IaC tools like Terraform. Products can range from a single compute instance to a fully configured multi-tier application.

Organizations can share portfolios of approved products across AWS accounts and organizational units through AWS Organizations, providing consistent self-service access to governed AWS resources for engineers, database administrators, data scientists, and other end-users.

With AWS Service Catalog, organizations can:

  • Apply launch and template constraints to govern how products are provisioned
  • Manage product versions as they evolve
  • Control access by individual, group, or cost center using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)

For more information, visit the AWS Service Catalog product page and the documentation. See the AWS Region Table for complete regional availability.
