New Region Support for AWS Outposts Racks

Second-generation AWS Outposts racks are now supported in the AWS Asia Pacific (Tokyo) Region. This expansion allows organizations to extend AWS infrastructure, services, APIs, and tools to their on-premises data centers or colocation spaces, providing a consistent hybrid experience.

Organizations in and outside of Japan can now order Outposts racks connected to this new region, optimizing for latency and data residency needs. Outposts enable customers to run workloads locally with low latency access to on-premises systems while connecting back to their home Region for application management. It also supports managing and processing data that must remain on-premises to meet data residency requirements.
