AWS IAM Identity Center extends multi-Region support to Identity Center directory

IAM Identity Center Multi-Region Support
IAM Identity Center now allows replication from the primary AWS Region to additional Regions when using Identity Center directory as the identity source. This feature enhances resilience and supports business needs such as application data residency and user proximity.
When enabled, IAM Identity Center automatically replicates identities and entitlements to additional Regions. If the primary Region experiences a disruption, users can still access their AWS accounts using the replicated data.
Administrators can deploy applications in additional Regions while managing IAM Identity Center in the primary Region.
What to do
- Configure a multi-Region customer managed KMS key (CMK) for your IAM Identity Center organization instance.
- Check which AWS applications support deployment in additional Regions.
- Review the IAM Identity Center User Guide for setup instructions.
