AWS Compute Optimizer Adds Idle Resource Recommendations for NAT Gateways

AWS Compute Optimizer now supports idle resource recommendations for NAT Gateways, allowing you to identify unused NAT Gateways and achieve cost savings.

Compute Optimizer analyzes CloudWatch metrics over a 32-day period to identify NAT Gateways with no traffic activity. It also checks if the NAT Gateway is associated with any AWS Route Tables to avoid recommending critical backup resources.

You can view the total savings potential and access detailed utilization metrics to verify unused conditions before taking action.
