AWS announces Nx Plugin for AWS for scaffolding full-stack applications

Nx Plugin for AWS Version 1.0 Release

Version 1.0 of the Nx Plugin for AWS, an open-source toolkit for scaffolding full-stack applications on AWS, is now available. This plugin extends Nx, a language-agnostic build system for monorepos, with generators that build parts of an application on request, alongside the infrastructure to run it.

New Features

  • Generators for AI agents and Model Context Protocol servers on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore.
  • Generators for APIs, websites, and databases built on TypeScript and Python.
  • Infrastructure defined as AWS CDK constructs or Terraform modules.
  • Recommended practices such as AWS WAF protection, access logging, and AWS X-Ray tracing.
  • Type-safe clients for wiring projects together, preventing breaking API changes in production.
