AWS Interconnect - multicloud with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Preview

AWS has announced the public preview of AWS Interconnect, a purpose-built solution for multicloud connectivity, now with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This new offering simplifies the process of creating resilient, scalable private connections between AWS and other cloud providers, addressing the complexities of traditional multicloud approaches.

Key Highlights

  • Purpose-built for multicloud: AWS Interconnect is designed to simplify multicloud strategies, allowing customers to connect and manage workloads across different cloud providers more easily.
  • Open specification: AWS Interconnect uses an open specification, enabling a consistent experience across multiple cloud providers, including OCI, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Region availability: The preview is available in the us-east-1 (N. Virginia) region.
  • Creation methods: Interconnects can be created using the AWS Management Console, CLI, or API.
