AWS Device Farm Managed Appium Endpoint

AWS Device Farm now enables mobile and web developers to test their apps using real mobile devices and desktop browsers with a fully managed Appium endpoint. This feature allows you to run interactive tests on multiple physical devices directly from your IDE or local machine using only a few lines of code. It also works seamlessly with third-party tools like Appium Inspector, both hosted and local versions, for all actions including element inspection.

Additionally, live video and log streaming support provides faster test feedback within your local workflow. This complements the existing server-side execution, offering the scale and control needed for secure enterprise-grade workloads.

What to do

  • Connect to the managed Appium endpoint using a few lines of code.
  • Run interactive tests on multiple devices directly from your IDE or local machine.
  • Use Appium Inspector for element inspection and other actions.
  • Utilize live video and log streaming for faster feedback.
