AWS NAT Gateway now supports regional availability

AWS NAT Gateway Regional Availability
AWS introduces regional availability mode for NAT Gateways, allowing a single NAT Gateway to automatically expand and contract across availability zones in your VPC based on workload presence, simplifying setup and management.
A NAT Gateway enables instances in a private subnet to connect to services outside your VPC using the NAT Gateway's IP address. With regional mode, you can create a NAT Gateway without needing a public subnet, and it automatically adjusts based on your workload's presence across availability zones.
What to do
- Create a NAT Gateway with regional mode.
- Choose your VPC for automatic expansion and contraction.
- Use Amazon provided IP addresses or bring your own.
This feature is available in all commercial AWS Regions, except for AWS GovCloud (US) Regions and China Regions via CLIs and SDKs.
