Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB Custom Plugins

Amazon Timestream for InfluxDB now supports running custom Python plugins on managed InfluxDB 3 Core and Enterprise editions. Host your plugin code in public or private repositories and the engine fetches and runs it in response to triggers, allowing you to implement logic specific to your workload without external infrastructure.

Plugins execute in a managed Python environment, enabling custom data transformations, alerting, aggregation, and integrations with your services. To start, set a plugin repository on a DB parameter group, apply it to your cluster, and create triggers referencing your plugin using the influxdb3 CLI or HTTP API. Private repositories are authenticated with a token stored in AWS Secrets Manager.

What to do

• Set a plugin repository on a DB parameter group
• Apply the parameter group to your cluster
