Amazon S3 Storage Lens now offers deeper insights into your S3 storage usage and application performance with new capabilities:

• Performance Metrics: Insights into how applications interact with S3 data, including access pattern, request origin, and object access count metrics.
• Prefix Analytics: Ability to analyze billions of prefixes per bucket, providing visibility into storage usage and activity across all prefixes.
• Metrics Export: Export metrics directly to managed S3 Tables for easier querying and analysis with AWS analytics services.

What to do

• Enable performance metrics or expanded prefixes in your S3 Storage Lens advanced metrics dashboard configuration.
• Enable metrics export to managed S3 Tables in both free and advanced dashboard configurations where available.
