Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Harness Generally Available

AWS announces the general availability of the managed agent harness in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, enabling teams to create working agents in minutes. The harness acts as the body for the agent's brain, managing orchestration, tools, context, and more. Customers define their agent through configuration, and AgentCore assembles and runs the agent in a production-grade environment.

  • Speed: Agents are operational in minutes.
  • Decoupling: The harness can switch models mid-session without losing context.
  • Integration: The harness connects to tools, knowledge, and web search through a unified gateway.
  • Export: Custom orchestration can be exported to code without rebuilding.
