AWS has announced the general availability of GPT-6.1 Terra on Amazon Bedrock, offering a balance of capability, speed, and cost efficiency for everyday workloads.

New Features

• Detailed Visual Reasoning: Enhanced visual reasoning capabilities.
• Accurate Computer Use: Improved accuracy in computer use tasks.
• Improved Factuality and Natural Writing: Better factual accuracy and natural writing over GPT-5.6 Terra.
• Performance: Scores 15 percentage points higher in OpenAI’s Agents’ Last Exam evaluation compared to GPT-5.6 Terra.
• Speed: Completes tasks more than three times faster than GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol.
• Cost Efficiency: Input and output token prices at least 50% lower than GPT-6.1 Sol and GPT-5.6 Terra.
• Context Window: Supports a context window of up to 1 million input tokens.
• Input Types: Accepts both text and image inputs.
