New models for image generation and text embeddings are now available in Amazon SageMaker JumpStart

AWS SageMaker JumpStart Model Updates
AWS has introduced FLUX.2-klein-base-4B and Qwen3-Embedding-0.6B in Amazon SageMaker JumpStart, enhancing the range of foundation models available to customers. These models offer advanced image generation and multilingual text embedding capabilities, enabling the development of creative AI applications and intelligent search systems on AWS infrastructure.
New Models
- FLUX.2-klein-base-4B: Specializes in real-time image generation and multi-reference editing with a compact architecture, delivering high-quality images on consumer hardware with minimal VRAM. Ideal for creative content pipelines, product visualization, rapid prototyping, and applications requiring fast, high-quality image synthesis.
- Qwen3-Embedding-0.6B: Focuses on text embedding for retrieval, classification, clustering, and bitext mining across 100+ languages, with flexible output dimensions and instruction-aware embeddings. Suitable for semantic search systems, RAG pipelines, multilingual document retrieval, and applications needing efficient, high-quality text representations at scale.
What to do
- Deploy the models via the Models section in SageMaker Studio or using the SageMaker Python SDK.
- Refer to the Amazon SageMaker JumpStart documentation for deployment and usage details.
