KNFSD File Cache Release

AWS announces the availability of KNFSD File Cache, an open-source solution for deploying a scalable, high-speed NFS cache on AWS. It supports multiple source NFS servers and caches frequently read data in memory and on local NVMe storage.

Key features include:

  • Supports NFS v3, v4.1, and v4.2 compliant filers
  • Built on standard Linux kernel technology
  • Supports NFS client-server protocol features
  • Deploys on Amazon EC2 with optional auto-scaling
  • Monitored with Amazon CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry
