AWS End User Messaging Introduces RCS for Business

AWS End User Messaging now supports Rich Communication Services (RCS) for Business, enabling businesses to deliver messages through the same messaging apps customers use, with a verified business identity.

RCS provides a scalable, cost-effective way to integrate into applications, offering rich conversational experiences beyond traditional SMS.

• RCS Agents: Create and manage RCS agents directly in the AWS console or via APIs.
• Automated SMS Fallback: Ensures messages are delivered as SMS when a recipient's device doesn't support RCS.
• Integration: RCS integrates with AWS services like Amazon EventBridge, CloudWatch, Data Firehose, SNS, Lambda, and AI agents powered by Amazon Bedrock.
