Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals adds new SLO capabilities

Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals Updates
Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals now offers three new console-based capabilities for Service Level Objectives (SLOs): SLO Recommendations, Service-Level SLOs, and SLO Performance Report. These features help customers monitor and improve application performance on AWS by providing data-driven insights and simplifying the process of setting reliability targets.
New Features
- SLO Recommendations: Analyzes 30 days of service metrics to suggest appropriate reliability targets, reducing the effort needed for new SLO deployments.
- Service-Level SLOs: Provides a holistic view of service reliability across all operations, aligning technical monitoring with business objectives.
- SLO Performance Report: Offers historical analysis aligned with calendar periods, supporting daily, weekly, and monthly intervals.
What to do
- Utilize SLO Recommendations to set data-driven reliability targets.
- Use Service-Level SLOs for a comprehensive view of service reliability.
- Generate SLO Performance Reports to monitor reliability trends over time.
These features are available in all AWS Regions where Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals is available.
