- Deeper reasoning and consistency for production work
- Reads codebases like an engineer, plans before editing, and holds context across long sessions
- Better at finding paths around obstacles, recovering from errors, and knowing when to ask for help
- Synthesizes across long documents and complex sources, self-checks output, and delivers structured deliverables
Access Methods
Customers can access Claude Opus 4.8 via:
- Amazon Bedrock: Keeps data within AWS infrastructure, provides access through a unified service with AWS-managed features like Guardrails, Knowledge Bases, and regional data residency.
- Claude Platform on AWS: Direct access to Anthropic's native platform experience and capabilities via the AWS Console, unified with AWS billing and authentication.
