AWS Transit Gateway and AWS Cloud WAN Managed NAT

AWS Transit Gateway and AWS Cloud WAN now offer managed one-to-one network address translation (NAT) directly on their attachments, integrating with Regional Private NAT Gateway. This allows private networks with overlapping IP address ranges to communicate without renumbering, deploying a NAT appliance, or writing return-traffic rules.

Key Benefits

  • Connects networks with overlapping CIDR blocks
  • No NAT appliance or return-traffic rules required
  • Automatic translation in both directions
  • Setup in minutes via AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, SDKs, and CloudFormation
  • Monitoring through Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon EventBridge

Availability

Available in all AWS commercial regions where AWS Transit Gateway and AWS Cloud WAN operate.

What to do

  • Set up managed NAT in minutes using AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, SDKs, or CloudFormation
  • Monitor translated traffic with Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon EventBridge
  • Review pricing details on the Amazon VPC pricing page
  • Learn more on the AWS Transit Gateway and AWS Cloud WAN product pages and documentation
