AWS Transform announces Azure-to-AWS cloud-native code conversion

AWS Transform General Availability

AWS announced the general availability of application code conversion from Azure SDK to AWS SDK in AWS Transform, enabling an accelerated migration path for Microsoft Azure cloud-native.NET applications to AWS.

New Features

  • AWS Transform.NET modernization agent identifies Azure service code and converts it to equivalent AWS service code.
  • Supports conversion of Azure Functions to AWS Lambda, Azure Blob Storage to Amazon S3, and Azure Queue Storage to Amazon SQS.
  • Azure Cosmos DB to Amazon DynamoDB conversion is available in preview.

What to do

  • Submit your Azure source code to AWS Transform.
  • Review the assessment report and modernization plan.
  • Adjust conversion options based on your preferences.
  • Run the modernization to convert Azure service code to AWS SDK calls.
