Amazon MSK Connect now supports updating connector plugins and worker configurations

Amazon MSK Connect Updates

Amazon MSK Connect now allows you to update the custom plugin and worker configuration of an existing connector without deleting it. This feature is useful for updating custom plugins to run new versions of connector code, including those with updated dependencies. You can also modify worker-level settings such as key and value converters or producer and consumer properties for throughput and latency.

Previously, updating a connector's plugin or worker configuration required deleting and recreating the connector, which was disruptive and added operational overhead. Now, you can update the connector in place, preserving its committed offsets and ensuring tasks continue processing seamlessly.

• Update your custom plugins and worker configurations directly in Amazon MSK Connect.
• Monitor the update process to ensure tasks continue processing without interruption.
