AWS Secrets Manager announces managed external secrets

AWS Secrets Manager Managed External Secrets Launched

AWS Secrets Manager now offers managed external secrets, enabling automatic rotation for third-party SaaS secrets. You can select from various rotation strategies supported by your SaaS provider without managing Lambda functions. This feature secures SaaS secrets with a predefined format as per your SaaS provider's guidelines.

An onboarding guide is available for SaaS providers to become partners, offering prescriptive guidance to their customers for managing secrets. Managed external secrets are available for Salesforce, BigID, and Snowflake at launch.
