AWS Outposts 2U Server Support in AWS GovCloud Regions

AWS Outposts 2U server is now supported in the AWS GovCloud (US-East) and AWS GovCloud (US-West) Regions. This fully managed service extends AWS infrastructure, services, APIs, and tools to on-premises or edge locations with limited space or smaller capacity requirements. It provides up to 128 vCPUs of compute and is ideal for applications needing to run on-premises to meet low latency and stringent compliance requirements.

With this availability, you can now run Amazon EC2, Amazon ECS, and AWS IoT Greengrass locally on Outposts 2U servers, and connect to a broader range of AWS services available in the parent AWS GovCloud (US) Region. This allows AWS GovCloud (US) Regions customers to run sensitive and controlled unclassified information (CUI) data on-premises at their facilities and connect to the parent AWS GovCloud (US) Region for management and operations.
