AWS Neuron Agentic Development Capabilities

AWS Neuron introduces Neuron Agentic Development, an open-source collection of agents and skills to accelerate development on AWS Trainium and AWS Inferentia. This initial release provides agentic coding capabilities for Neuron Kernel Interface (NKI) kernel development, covering the workflow from authoring to profiling and performance analysis.

NKI allows developers to write custom compute kernels for Trainium with direct, low-level programming access. Neuron Agentic Development integrates NKI expertise into developer's agentic IDEs through natural language, enabling tasks such as generating working NKI kernels from PyTorch operations, fixing compilation errors, and identifying performance bottlenecks.

Capabilities

  • Kernel authoring
  • Debugging
  • Documentation lookup
  • Profile capture
  • Profile analysis

What to do
