AWS Marketplace launches an AI agent skill for usage-based metering integration

AWS Marketplace Metering Agent Skill

AWS has launched the general availability of the AWS Marketplace metering agent skill, an AI-guided experience designed to assist sellers in creating, deploying, and validating a usage-based SaaS metering integration using their AI coding assistant. This skill simplifies the integration process by guiding sellers through gathering product details, recommending the appropriate metering API, generating integration code, and running tests against AWS Marketplace.

Previously, sellers faced challenges such as mismatched dimension names and invalid timestamps, leading to billing gaps. The metering agent skill addresses these issues by cross-validating dimensions, applying guardrails, deploying a serverless metering pipeline, and verifying the integration with a live test.
