AWS Launches Simplified Import of CloudTrail Lake Data in Amazon CloudWatch

AWS has introduced a simplified method to import CloudTrail Lake data into Amazon CloudWatch, a service for managing and analyzing data from your AWS environment and third-party sources. This new feature allows you to consolidate operational, security, and compliance data with ease.

What to do

  • Specify the CloudTrail Lake event data store (EDS) and the date range in CloudWatch to import your CloudTrail data.
  • Use the AWS console, CLI, or SDK to initiate the import process.

Note that while the simplified import is free, you will be charged CloudWatch fees based on custom logs pricing.
