Amazon RDS for SQL Server Updates

Amazon RDS for SQL Server now supports the latest Cumulative Updates (CU) for Microsoft SQL Server, including Microsoft SQL Server 2025 CU6 KB5093421 (RDS version 17.00.4055.5.v1). For more details on the improvements and fixes, refer to the Microsoft documentation for KB5093421.

What to do

  • Upgrade your Amazon RDS for SQL Server instances to apply these updates using the Amazon RDS Management Console, AWS SDK, or CLI.
  • Consult the Amazon RDS SQL Server User Guide for detailed instructions on upgrading your RDS Microsoft SQL Server DB engine.
