AWS launches simplified enablement of AWS CloudTrail events in Amazon CloudWatch

AWS CloudTrail Events in Amazon CloudWatch
AWS has launched simplified enablement of AWS CloudTrail events in Amazon CloudWatch, a monitoring and logging service. This integration allows you to centrally configure the collection of CloudTrail events in CloudWatch alongside other AWS log sources, providing a consolidated view for comprehensive monitoring and data collection across your AWS environment.
This new integration uses service-linked channels (SLCs) to receive events from CloudTrail without requiring trails, offering benefits such as safety-checks and termination protection. You will incur charges for both CloudTrail event delivery and CloudWatch Logs ingestion based on custom logs pricing.
What to do
- Enable CloudTrail events in CloudWatch for centralized log collection.
- Review the Amazon CloudWatch documentation for more details and supported AWS regions.
