AWS Lambda Durable Execution Telemetry Exporter

AWS Lambda has introduced the Durable Execution Telemetry Exporter plugin for durable functions, enhancing observability by capturing execution history and sending it to chosen destinations. This feature aids in gathering operational and business insights and extends data retention beyond the standard period.

The Telemetry Exporter supports multiple destinations including Amazon CloudWatch Logs, Amazon S3, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon OpenSearch Service. It is available for TypeScript, Python, Java, and Go.

What to do

  • Install the exporter
  • Register the plugin in your function handler
  • Add the Model Context Protocol server to your agent
