AWS Directory Service expands directory security settings with STIG-aligned controls for Managed AD

AWS Managed Microsoft AD Security Settings Update

AWS Directory Service for Microsoft Active Directory (AWS Managed Microsoft AD) now includes expanded security settings aligned with STIG configurations for high-impact security areas. These settings help meet organizational requirements for directory-level security and compliance.

These new settings are available through a self-service interface, both programmatically and via the AWS Management Console. They ensure consistent configuration across multiple managed directories and automatically apply to new instances when scaling out or expanding to additional regions.
