AWS Backup now supports Amazon FSx file systems in the Asia Pacific (New Zealand) Region

AWS Backup Feature Update

AWS Backup now supports Amazon FSx for Lustre, Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP, Amazon FSx for OpenZFS, and Amazon FSx for Windows File Server in the Asia Pacific (New Zealand) Region. You can now centrally automate and manage data protection for your Amazon FSx file systems in this region.

What to do

  • Visit the AWS Backup console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDKs to get started.
  • Create policy-based backup plans to schedule backups and apply retention rules.
  • Store backups in encrypted vaults and restore file systems when needed.
