AWS Backup Support for Amazon Aurora PITR

AWS Backup now supports Amazon Aurora Point-in-time Recovery (PITR) in six additional AWS Regions: Asia Pacific (Malaysia, Thailand, Taipei, New Zealand), Canada West (Calgary), and Mexico (Central). This expansion provides policy-based data protection and recovery for your Amazon Aurora clusters in these regions.

What to do

  • Add your Aurora clusters to existing backup plans or create new ones.
  • Attach your Aurora clusters to the backup plan.
  • Ensure continuous backups or PITR is enabled on the associated backup rule.
