AWS announces enhanced custom line item controls for AWS Billing Conductor

AWS Billing Conductor Custom Line Items Update

AWS Billing Conductor customers now have enhanced flexibility with custom line items, allowing service-specific custom line items scoped at either one AWS service or a set of selected AWS services. These enhancements improve charge-back and re-billing strategies, reflecting pricing structures and enhancing traceability for pro forma users.

What to do

  • Create custom line items via the AWS Billing Conductor console or APIs.
  • Specify the cost reference value and display settings (itemized or consolidated).
  • Apply percentage discounts on Saving Plans fees or allocate shared flat support charges.

This feature is available in all AWS commercial Regions, excluding AWS China (Beijing) and AWS China (Ningxia).
