AWS announces Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) Express Mode, a new feature to rapidly launch containerized applications. It simplifies deployment and management, providing an AWS-provided domain name and incorporating AWS operational best practices.
Key features include:
- Immediate Accessibility: Automatically receives an AWS-provided domain name.
- Security: Supports public or private HTTPS requests.
- Scalability: Scales in response to traffic patterns.
- Efficient Resource Utilization: Consolidates up to 25 services behind a single Application Load Balancer (ALB).
- Full Control: Maintains full access to all provisioned resources.
What to do
- Provide your container image.
- Use the Amazon ECS Console, SDK, CLI, CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform to deploy a new service.
