Amazon ECS Express Mode

AWS announces Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) Express Mode, a new feature to rapidly launch containerized applications. It simplifies deployment and management, providing an AWS-provided domain name and incorporating AWS operational best practices.

Key features include:

  • Immediate Accessibility: Automatically receives an AWS-provided domain name.
  • Security: Supports public or private HTTPS requests.
  • Scalability: Scales in response to traffic patterns.
  • Efficient Resource Utilization: Consolidates up to 25 services behind a single Application Load Balancer (ALB).
  • Full Control: Maintains full access to all provisioned resources.

What to do

  • Provide your container image.
  • Use the Amazon ECS Console, SDK, CLI, CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform to deploy a new service.
