Amazon WorkSpaces Applications Updates

Amazon WorkSpaces Applications now supports Ubuntu Pro 24.04 LTS on Elastic fleets, allowing ISVs and IT organizations to stream Ubuntu desktop applications to users with the flexibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of the AWS Cloud.

Amazon WorkSpaces Applications is a fully managed service that provides instant access to desktops and applications from anywhere. Elastic fleet is a serverless fleet type that streams desktop applications from an AWS-managed pool of instances without the need for capacity management or image creation.

What to do

  • Sign into the WorkSpaces Applications management console.
  • Select an AWS Region from the available list.
  • Review the pricing details on the Amazon WorkSpaces Applications Pricing page.
