AWS European Sovereign Cloud (Germany) Region Launch

Amazon MSK Connect and AWS Glue Schema Registry are now available in the AWS European Sovereign Cloud (Germany) region, providing a more complete set of tools for managing Apache Kafka applications.

Amazon MSK Connect

MSK Connect allows you to run fully managed Kafka Connect clusters with Amazon MSK. It enables you to deploy, monitor, and scale connectors that move data between Apache Kafka and external systems without provisioning infrastructure. It offers automatic scaling and pay-as-you-go pricing.

AWS Glue Schema Registry

AWS Glue Schema Registry is a serverless feature of AWS Glue that validates and controls the evolution of streaming data using Apache Avro, JSON, and Protobuf schemas. It acts as a centralized repository for data format and structure, reducing validation logic and failures across decoupled applications.
