Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio launches support for remote connection from Cursor IDE

AWS announces remote connection from Cursor IDE to Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio via the AWS Toolkit extension. This allows data scientists, ML engineers, and developers to use their Cursor setup with AI-powered features while accessing Amazon SageMaker's scalable compute resources. By connecting Cursor to SageMaker Unified Studio, you can maintain your AI-assisted development workflows within a single environment for AWS analytics and AI/ML services.
SageMaker Unified Studio offers fully managed cloud IDEs, including JupyterLab and Code Editor based on Code-OSS. You can now use your customized local Cursor setup with access to your compute resources and data on Amazon SageMaker. Authentication is secure via IAM through the AWS Toolkit extension, providing access to all SageMaker Unified Studio domains and projects. This integration supports workloads across data processing, SQL analytics services, and ML workflows with enterprise-grade security.
