Amazon SageMaker notebook instances now support Amazon Linux 2023 (AL2023). This allows you to leverage the latest innovations and enhanced security features for your notebook instances.

New Features

  • Amazon Linux 2023 Support: Choose AL2023 for new notebook instances to benefit from the latest features and security enhancements.
  • Enhanced Security: AL2023 includes SELinux support and FIPS 140-3 validation for cryptographic modules.
  • Predictable Release Cycle: AL2023 follows a two-year major release cycle with five years of long-term support.
