Amazon SageMaker HyperPod introduces enhanced lifecycle scripts debugging

Amazon SageMaker HyperPod Updates

Enhanced troubleshooting capabilities for lifecycle scripts are now available in Amazon SageMaker HyperPod, simplifying the identification and resolution of issues during cluster node provisioning.

New Features

  • Detailed error messages now include specific CloudWatch log group and log stream names for lifecycle scripts.
  • CloudWatch logs for lifecycle scripts include markers to track execution progress.
  • A "View lifecycle script logs" button in the SageMaker console directly navigates to relevant CloudWatch log streams.

What to do

  • Use the DescribeCluster API or SageMaker console to view error messages and logs.
  • Utilize the new CloudWatch log markers to quickly identify issues during provisioning.
