Amazon RDS for SQL Server Multi-AZ Deployment for Web Edition

Amazon RDS for SQL Server now supports Multi-AZ deployment for SQL Server Web Edition, providing high availability and automated failover for web applications.

What to do

• Configure your SQL Server Web Edition instance with Multi-AZ deployment.
• Amazon RDS will automatically provision a standby replica in a different Availability Zone.
• In case of primary database unavailability, RDS will automatically fail over to the standby replica.
