AWS Client VPN Updates

AWS Client VPN introduces a rebuilt AWS VPN Client v6.0.x with new features:

  • Command-Line Interface (CLI) Support: Full feature parity with the GUI, enabling scriptable VPN connections for automation workflows.
  • Enterprise Administrative Controls: Centralize VPN policy enforcement, scope profiles to specific users, and enforce approved VPN configurations.
  • Faster Connection Establishment: Rebuilt with OpenVPN3, offering quicker connections across all supported operating systems.

What to do

  • Download the latest client version 6.0.x for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
  • Integrate VPN connections into your automation workflows using the CLI.
  • Centralize device management with new administrative controls.
