Amazon RDS for SQL Server and Oracle

RDS storage autoscaling now supports additional storage volumes, allowing automatic scaling of storage capacity in response to growing database workloads with zero downtime.

  • New Feature: RDS storage autoscaling on additional storage volumes.
  • Benefits: Automatically scales storage capacity up to 256 TiB, reducing the risk of under-provisioning or over-provisioning.
  • Availability: Available in all commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US) Regions.
  • No Additional Charges: You only pay for the provisioned storage resources.
  • Enablement: Can be enabled via AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, or Amazon RDS API.
