Amazon RDS for SQL Server and Oracle

RDS storage autoscaling now supports additional storage volumes, allowing automatic scaling of storage capacity up to 256 TiB with zero downtime. Set your desired maximum storage limit for each volume, and autoscaling manages the rest.

What to do

  • Enable autoscaling via AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, or Amazon RDS API.
  • Set maximum storage limits for additional volumes.
  • Monitor actual storage consumption and autoscaling behavior.
