Amazon Quick Desktop Sign-In Update

For organizations using Amazon Quick, the desktop application now uses the same sign-in method as the web version. Administrators no longer need to register an OIDC application or set up separate desktop sign-in. If a user can sign in to Quick on the web, they can sign in to the desktop application.

What to do

  • Administrators should add the desktop connector in the Amazon Quick console.
  • Users should enter their Quick account name, choose Sign In, and complete the sign-in process through their browser.

This update works for accounts using IAM Identity Center, IAM federation, or native Amazon Quick users. Organizations can still manage desktop sign-in separately with providers like Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Okta, or Ping Identity.

Amazon Quick on desktop is available in AWS Regions that support the full Amazon Quick feature set.
